
TV actor molested at Holi party; FIR filed against co-star

A distressing incident spoiled the Holi celebrations in Mumbai for a 29-year-old female actor.
The TV actor, who has reportedly played lead roles in several TV shows, was allegedly molested by her co-star at a party in Mumbai's western suburbs, reported Free Press Journal.
She filed an FIR against the co-star, who apparently came to the party in an inebriated state.

Actor's statement reveals details of the incident
The actor revealed to police that her co-star continued to make attempts to apply color on her and other women at the party even after being refused.
"He was trying to put colors on me and other women in the party. I did not want to play Holi with him hence I objected and went away from him," she told police.
"I went and hid myself behind the panipuri stall at the terrace but he came after me."

'I love you and will see who saves you'
The actor further elaborated, "I covered my face, but he forcefully grabbed me and put color on my cheeks and then told me, 'I love you and will see who saves you from me.' After this, he touched me inappropriately and put color on me. I pushed him away."
"I was mentally shocked and went straight to the washroom."
She added that when she told her friends about the incident, they confronted him, but he misbehaved with them too.
Legal proceedings
Police action taken against the accused actor
Following the incident, the actor promptly approached the police and an FIR was lodged against the accused actor.
Confirming the news, police officials said a legal notice has been issued to him and they are in the process of recording statements of other guests and scanning CCTV footage of the party.
The accused actor has been booked under Section 75(1)(i) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
