Anurag Kashyap thanks CBFC and Smriti Irani for 'Mukkabaaz'
What's the story
As Anurag Kashyap's directorial 'Mukkabaaz' got a U/A certificate from the CBFC, he said he is grateful to censor board chief Prasoon Joshi for a "reasonable, rational and empowering experience".
Kashyap also thanked I&B Minister Smriti Irani for "providing him with some space to express himself in a free and fearless manner through his movie."

Kashyap took to Twitter to thank CBFC and Irani, "In times of uncertainty and great doubt I am grateful to actually have a reasonable, rational and empowering experience with the CBFC. U/A with one voluntary audio deletion.
He also added that a "voluntary audio deletion was the difference between getting an A certificate and the U/A."

About Kashyap's 'Mukkabaaz'
Mukkabaaz is a sports drama film co-written, co-produced and directed by Anurag Kashyap. It was screened at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival and the 2017 Mumbai Film Festival.
Produced jointly by Anand L. Rai and Phantom Films, the film stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Zoya Hussain, Ravi Kishan and Jimmy Shergill.
Mukkabaaz is scheduled to release on 12 January 2018.
