Mouni Roy denies being sexually harassed by director Reema Kagti
In the wake of the ongoing #MeToo movement, several filmmakers have been accused of sexual harassment by women. However, much to everyone's surprise, a Twitter user accused director Reema Kagti of sexually assaulting 'Gold' actress Mouni Roy. Notably, Mouni has slammed the Twitter user and clarified that she was not assaulted by the director.
Reema Kagti is a hypocrite, said Twitter user
Recently, around 11 filmmakers, including Reema, pledged not to work with the offenders of the #MeToo movement. As soon as she shared this pledge, Reema was accused of sexually harassing Mouni during 'Gold' shooting. The Twitter user also called Reema a hypocrite and wrote, "Oh come on with this hypocrisy!! Reema Kagti has herself been known to sexually harass @Roymouni during Gold movie!"
Mouni defends Reema and slams Twitter user
Miffed with the false allegations, Mouni came out in defense of Reema and rubbished the allegations. Mouni clarified that she was not harassed by anyone, let alone by director Reema during 'Gold' shooting. She also said that people must stop maligning the issue as it will sideline the stories of women who have truly suffered the horrendous incidents.
