#MeToo: Actress Kate accuses Subhash Ghai of molestation, files complaint
Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai, who was accused of raping a woman, has now been accused of molestation by actress Kate Sharma. She has alleged that Ghai tried to forcibly hug and kiss her at his place in August. And now in the wake of the #MeToo movement, Kate has filed a molestation complaint against Ghai at Mumbai's Versova police station. Here's more.

Narrating her ordeal, Kate said that Ghai called her to his place and asked for a massage in front of 5-6 people. Reportedly, he then took her to his room under the pretext of discussing something. He then hugged and tried kissing her forcibly. Kate also alleged that he threatened to not launch her if she denied sexual favors.

Meanwhile, Ghai rubbishes Kate's claims
Ghai, who is once again 'shocked' by the allegations leveled against him, has rubbished Kate's claims and called them an attempt to tarnish his image. Citing himself as a great supporter of the #MeToo campaign, he stated that people taking undue advantage of the movement may dilute it for their short moment of fame. He also spoke about a legal route in the matter.

Backstory: Ghai accused of drugging and raping a woman
Notably, Ghai was first accused of drugging and raping a journalist. The lady had alleged that Ghai had spiked her drink and raped her in a hotel suite. "He took off my jeans and mounted me. I was trying to scream but he put his hand over my mouth," the anonymous woman said in her account.
