Mohit Suri shoots massive musical sequence for Ahaan Panday's debut
What's the story
Filmmaker Mohit Suri has planned a grand music festival sequence for his upcoming project, which will mark Ahaan Panday's Bollywood debut.
The scene was shot over the week at Malad's Vrundavan Studios and features 1,000 background artists.
It shows Panday's character performing on stage to a cheering audience, with actor Aneet Padda also making an appearance, reported Mid-Day.
Musical tradition
Suri's signature music-driven narrative continues in new film
Suri, who is famous for weaving music into his stories from Woh Lamhe (2006) to Aashiqui 2 (2013), has retained the timeless tradition in his new project.
His films Awarapan, Half Girlfriend, and Ek Villain, among others, are also remembered for their music.
A source told Mid-Day, "The set-up is massive—pulsating lights, LED screens, smoke machines, and a roaring crowd of over 1,000."
Character spotlight
