    What's the story

The wedding of veteran actor Mithun Chakrabarty's son, which was scheduled to happen on Saturday, was cancelled after a police team reached to investigate the rape charges levelled against him.

Mahaakshay Chakraborty aka Mimoh's wedding was cancelled after the bride's family left the place, revealed police.

Earlier, a Delhi court granted anticipatory bail to Mimoh and his mother Yogita Bali.

His mother Bali reportedly threatened her of dire consequences if she didn't end her four-year relationship with Mimoh.

The victim alleged she had to move from Mumbai to Delhi fearing for her life.

Delhi Court said mother-son duo unlikely to abscond

In this case, the Bombay High Court refused to grant interim relief to Bali and Mimoh, after which they moved a Delhi court.

Special Judge Ashutosh Kumar granted them bail on Saturday saying they are well known and are unlikely to abscond.

Earlier, the court had told police there was enough prima facie evidence for an FIR to be filed against the mother-son duo.
