Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, 22, has been crowned Miss Universe 2017.
Nel-Peters, a business management graduate, beat out 91 other candidates to win the pageant, held in Las Vegas, USA.
The first runner-up was Miss Colombia Laura Gonzlez and second runner-up, Miss Jamaica Davina Bennett.
Miss India Shraddha Shashidhar failed to make it to the top 10.

Nel-Peters said she considered her confidence her best quality.
She said that Miss Universe "is a woman that's overcome many fears" and helped others do the same.
As Miss Universe, Nel-Peters has earned a year-long salary and a luxury apartment in New York City (for a year), among other prizes.
