Mika Singh's staff member died due to drug overdose: Reports
A woman, who worked with popular Bollywood singer Mika Singh, died due to drug overdose earlier this month, reports said on Friday. The deceased, identified as Soumya Zoheb Khan, passed away on February 3. She was found lying unconscious on the first floor of Mika's studio in Four Bungalows area. Cops ruled out any foul play but said Soumya was depressed.
Soumya returned in morning, didn't leave home till evening
Soumya was working as Mika's clerical staff for some time now. Inspector P Bhosle of the Versova Station, who investigated the case, told Mumbai Mirror that on the day she died Soumya returned at 7 am after a party. She didn't leave the room until late evening, raising suspicion. Around 10:15 pm, some workers who were working on the ground floor checked on her.
She was depressed, said Bhosle
The workers found Soumya motionless, rushed her to a hospital, where she was declared dead. "She was under depression and died due to drug overdose," said the cop. He added, "On account of her family issues and depression, she was staying alone on the first floor of Singh's studio." No suicide note was found near her body, reports claimed.
