Michael B. Jordan is set to direct and star in a new version of the classic film The Thomas Crown Affair. The project, which will be produced by Amazon MGM Studios, has been in development for some time with Jordan's Outlier Society banner. This marks the third iteration of the film, following the original 1968 version and a 1999 remake.

Jordan recently made his directorial debut with Creed III, which broke box office records by earning a franchise-record $58.6M on its opening weekend. Jordan will not only direct and star in the film, but also produce it under his Outlier Society banner alongside Elizabeth Raposo. The script for the new version of The Thomas Crown Affair has been penned by Drew Pearce, with previous drafts written by Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson. Additional producers on the project include Patrick McCormick and Marc Toberoff, with Alan Trustman, writer of the original 1968 film, serving as an executive producer.

This movie, which was filmed in Louisiana earlier this year, is scheduled for a March 7, 2025 IMAX release by Warner Bros.
