Did Meghan Markle lie about making breakfast for kids?
What's the story
It's another day of Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, facing another social media backlash.
And this time, it's for allegedly staging a homemade breakfast for her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, on St. Patrick's Day.
The accusations arose from a video she shared on Instagram Stories of her whipping up a green batter for waffles on a Cuisinart Waring Pro WMK200 Belgian Waffle Maker.
However, the waffles served were flat instead of the signature quadrants of the appliance.

Fans speculate about the authenticity of the breakfast
Fans saw through the ruse and speculated Markle probably didn't make the festive waffles herself.
According to Page Six, two separate waffle makers were used—one for the kids and another for the grownups. So that might explain the difference in the final cuts of the waffles.
But online debate continued, with one X user noting, "Meghan Markle's relentless compulsion to lie about everything is baffling—even over something as trivial as a waffle."

Why claim to have made it from scratch, asked netizens
Another user on X said, "She didn't fresh make them for her kids. She used these frozen waffles."
"Why the big deal? Because her post is showing she made it all from scratch. She is a total manipulative liar. About everything."
Meanwhile, a third user wrote, "I immediately saw the difference when I saw the video. I couldn't grasp the reason to lie about waffles. What kind of person needs to do that? Meghan Markle is a walking scam."
Markle's creations
Markle received flak for new Netflix cooking show, too
Along with the children's breakfast, Markle also posted a picture of the waffle creation she made for herself and Prince Harry.
This one had two-quarters of a waffle stacked and topped with strawberry slices and cream.
The latest row comes amid continuous flak the Sussex has been getting over her lifestyle and cooking show With Love, Meghan.
