Despite being Shahid's solo movie as the main lead, it opened with Rs. 20.21 crore.

Kabir Singh has emerged as Shahid's highest solo grosser movie, and the audience is loving his alcoholic, brooding character. The movie is the remake of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Arjun Reddy, which was also a blockbuster. Interestingly, despite all the criticism the film has received, it is performing well.
