Aamir Khan's 'Sitaare Zameen Par' eyeing May 30 release

The summer of 2024 was a quiet affair for movie buffs, with hardly any big releases in April and May. But, the coming summer seems promising, especially the month of May.
As of now, only Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 is confirmed for a May 1 release.
As per trade sources, two more films, Sitaare Zameen Par and Bhool Chuk Maaf, are said to be eyeing a May release.

Aamir Khan's 'Sitaare Zameen Par' might advance its premiere date
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Aamir Khan's much-awaited film Sitaare Zameen Par will be releasing in theaters on May 30.
Khan originally intended to release the film in June but has now opted for May 30 instead.
The film, directed by RS Prasanna, also stars Genelia Deshmukh.
The date was apparently picked keeping in mind IPL's end in late May.
Film shift
'Bhool Chuk Maaf' might shift to May 9
Meanwhile, Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films is considering shifting the release of the romantic comedy Bhool Chuk Maaf to May 9 from April 10.
The cluttered April calendar, comprising of Sunny Deol's Jaat and Phule, is what prompted the decision.
Other April releases include Salman Khan's Sikandar (March 30) and Akshay Kumar's Kesari: Chapter 2 (April 18).
Excel Entertainment's Emraan Hashmi-starrer Ground Zero releases on April 25.
'Bhool Chuk Maaf'
Rajkummar Rao likely to continue his lucky streak
An industry expert pointed out that Bhool Chuk Maaf's release week could be lucky for Rajkummar Rao, considering how his film Srikanth (2024) rocked the previous year.
Starring Wamiqa Gabbi alongside Rao, Bhool Chuk Maaf revolves around a quirky and funny premise.
Its teaser was attached to the prints of Chhaava, another Maddock Films production.

The final call on the release dates of Sitaare Zameen Par and Bhool Chuk Maaf is yet to be taken. An official announcement is awaited soon.
Another much-anticipated film, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning starring Tom Cruise releases on May 23.
If all these films manage to retain their respective dates, April and May will be a treat for movie lovers.
