'I'm sure it's good': Matty Healy on Taylor's 'diss track'
Matty Healy, the lead singer of The 1975, has responded to rumors about a song from Taylor Swift's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, allegedly being about him. When questioned by a paparazzo in Los Angeles about the supposed "diss track," Healy said, "My diss track? Oh! I haven't really listened to that much of it, but I'm sure it's good." The two singers briefly dated last year.
'Guilty as Sin?' apparently alludes to Swift's romance with Healy
If you're unaware of the speculations, then let us tell you that Swifties are convinced TTPD track Guilty as Sin? is about the songstress' short-lived relationship with the Somebody Else crooner. In the opening line, Swift mentions receiving The Downtown Lights by The Blue Nile from someone, which is a band Healy has publicly admired. Fans have found connections to Healy in The Black Dog and the title track, too.
'She writes about all her relationships, doesn't she?'
Debbie Dedes, Healy's aunt, also shared her thoughts on the situation. She pointed out that Swift is well-known for writing songs about her personal relationships. "She writes about all her relationships, doesn't she? I don't think it will come as a shock to (Healy) at all," Dedes told The Daily Mail. She further mentioned that Healy is currently in a content relationship and will likely focus on that.
