'Matka' first-look: Varun Tej rocks bold mustache as Matka King
The first look of Tollywood actor Varun Tej from his upcoming film Matka was unveiled on Sunday, and it has left fans excited. The movie, directed by Karuna Kumar, is a pan-Indian venture and is currently under production. The poster features Tej in the character of Vasu, exuding an intense and commanding aura. The film also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary and Nora Fatehi in lead roles.
Tej's look hints at the high-stakes world of crime
In the first look poster of Matka, Tej is seen donning a dark pinstriped suit with a red tie, complemented by slicked-back hair, a thick mustache, and gold accessories. With a cigar in one hand, his stern expression and intense gaze hint at a high-stakes world of crime or gambling. This is further underlined by the spade symbol and poker setup featured in the poster.
'Matka' first look shared on Vyra Entertainments
The first look poster of Matka was shared on the official X handle of Vyra Entertainments. The caption read, "He is here to COMMAND and CONQUER Meet Mega Prince @IamVarunTej as THE MATKA KING, VASU #MatkaFirstLook out now#MATKA ~ The game begins soon on the big screens, (sic)." The music for Matka is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar. It is now one of the most anticipated films of the year.

'Matka' to recreate Vizag's atmosphere from 1958-1982
Tej's upcoming film is set between 1958 and 1982, and it aims to meticulously recreate the atmosphere of Vizag and its surroundings during that period. The film's cast also includes Naveen Chandra, Ajay Ghosh, Kannada Kishore, Ravindra Vijay, and P Ravi Shankar among others in key roles. It is produced by Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Thalluri under Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainment.
