#ComicBytes: Five most humiliating defeats of Marvel villains
Marvel Universe has one of the largest rosters of heroes and villains. Writers have smartly matched the two evenly, giving us thrilling fights where both sides are evenly matched and you never know if the bad guy will win. Usually, the hero wins but the fights are tense. At times, the beatdowns are brutal, and we bring five most humiliating defeats of Marvel villains.
The man with no fear, and no mercy
Bullseye and Daredevil are usually evenly matched and, sometimes, the Man with no Fear has barely gotten out of these encounters. However, when Bullseye broke into Daredevil's home and attacked his then-girlfriend, he got a taste of Daredevil's ruthlessness. Not only was he beaten to an inch of his life, but Daredevil took a broken rock and carved Bullseye's sign on his own forehead.
Manipulating the man with unbreakable skin is tough
Luke Cage faced Zebediah Killgrave or the Purple Man once. The man with mind manipulation tried to convince Cage to kill the Avengers and then kill himself. What could have been a deadly fight for Cage turned out worse for Killgrave. It turned out his powers were not working and Cage took the opportunity to mercilessly beat him for torturing his wife Jessica Jones.
The X-Men friends turned foes unleash destruction
Charles Xavier and Magneto do not see eye to eye but used to be friends. However, Magneto wears a helmet preventing Xavier from entering Magneto's head. One time during Magneto's evil machinations which brought the US President to his knees, his helmet was snatched by Quicksilver. Xavier entered Magneto's mind and turned him into a chess fan with no memory of villainy or identity.
What's a God to a non-believer?
Avengers fans must remember the scene in the movie where Hulk beats Loki to a pulp. The comic, Astonishing X-Men had a moment where Loki confronted the Hulk. While the God of mischief was busy trying to show off his grandness and importance as a God, Hulk got busy smashing. Needless to say, Loki was reduced from an Asgardian God to a puny God!
Doom himself, against a pack of rodents
Squirrel Girl is apparently one of the most powerful characters in Marvel, having defeated the likes of Wolverine, Deadpool, and Thanos. However, Doctor Doom's defeat in her hands remains the most humiliating. The powerful villain was taken down when Squirrel Girl used her obvious power of communicating with squirrels to unleash an army of furry rodents on the Doctor, who embarrassingly admitted defeat.
