After not-so-great two seasons, Netflix cancels Marvel's 'Iron Fist'
In what has come as shocking news to fans, Netflix has canceled Marvel's 'Iron Fist' after its second season. The first Marvel drama to be discontinued on Netflix, 'Iron Fist', is the fourth show in the original four show agreement between Netflix and Disney's Marvel. Notably, the first season was received poorly and was riddled with controversy while the second season garnered lukewarm reviews.

Following the show's cancelation, Netflix and Marvel representatives reportedly said that they, at Netflix and Marvel Television, were proud of the show and grateful for the hard work on the part of the crew, cast and showrunners. They thanked fans for their viewership and support. However, their message ended on a note of hope, as they said, 'the immortal Iron Fist will live on'.
Hope is all Iron Fist fans have
The message from the representatives spells hope for 'Iron Fist' fans. With Disney planning to launch its own streaming platform to compete with Netflix, they have announced that they will pull all their Marvel feature films from Netflix and stream them exclusively on their platform. Hopefully, Iron Fist's Netflix cancelation means that Disney will take up the story of the mystical warrior Danny Rand.
Not dark yet, but it's getting there
However, 'Doctor Strange', 'Black Panther' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy' are currently streaming on Netflix. Further, Netflix's Marvel television shows, 'Jessica Jones', 'Luke Cage', 'The Defenders and The Punisher' will reportedly run their course as per the original five-show agreement.
