Manushi Chhillar to debut with 'Bunty Aur Babli Again'?
Ever since Manushi Chhillar won the Miss World title in 2017, there have been speculations about her big Bollywood debut. And if recent reports are anything to go by, the former beauty queen might make her debut with Bunty Aur Babli Again. According to an Asian Age report, Manushi has been approached to play the female lead in the movie opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi.
A younger jodi will join the leads from the original
Reportedly, the makers are keen to cast fresh faces for the sequel to the 2005 release Bunty Aur Babli. "There will be two pairs of actors with a jodi from the younger generation of actors joining the two main leads from the original," a source said. Interestingly, the movie may also feature Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji, the leads from the first installment.
Pertinent question: Will Amitabh Bachchan reprise his role?
"The story has been written in a way which requires two leading pairs. It needs to be seen if Amitabh Bachchan also reprises his role in sequel," the source added. Although reports about Siddhant-Manushi being a part of Bunty Aur Babli Again sound true, an official confirmation is awaited. Notably, the movie will be helmed by Shaad Ali who also directed the first one.
If reports are true, Abhishek, Rani will reunite after 12-years
Now, if these reports turn out to be true, Rani and Abhishek will be reuniting on screen after a hiatus of 12 years. The two were last seen together in 2007 release Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. Rani is for now working on the upcoming sequel to her 2014 release Mardaani. On the other hand, Abhishek will be seen in Anurag Basu's next.
