Someone else didn't follow rules, I contracted COVID-19: Manoj Bajpayee
Actor Manoj Bajpayee, who tested positive for COVID-19, recently talked about his battle against the highly-contagious disease. In a statement that clearly indicated his frustration, the actor said he got infected because someone else was not following rules. "I was infected because someone else was not following the rule," he said at the virtual trailer release of the upcoming movie Silence...Can You Hear It?.
Bajpayee talks about the many discomforts he is enduring
Bajpayee revealed that he suffers from bad headaches and finds it difficult to sit at one place for long. "You feel weak and many other discomforts. Because of my symptoms, I am mostly sleeping or resting. Even right now, while talking to you, I can feel the headache getting worse," he added. Already suffering, Bajpayee doesn't want anyone else to contract the disease.
'Sanitizers and masks have become part of our life'
Embracing the post-coronavirus world, Bajpayee said he has no qualms in shooting if COVID-19-necessitated precautions are followed. He revealed the shooting of the aforementioned film was completed only because the production house took care of all concerns. "Of course, it takes time to adjust. Sanitizers and masks have become part of our life. But we have to continue working," he asserted.
Bajpayee plays a hot-headed cop in 'Silence...Can You Hear It?'
The upcoming film also stars Prachi Desai and Arjun Mathur. In the whodunit drama, Bajpayee plays a hot-headed cop. The film will release on the ZEE5 on March 26. At the trailer launch, Bajpayee praised Desai, saying, "When you see an actor like Prachi (Desai), who has done so much work yet walks in on a set as a newcomer, you feel humbled."
Maharashtra added 17,000 new coronavirus cases yesterday
Meanwhile, Maharashtra, which houses Bollywood, remains the worst-affected state in the pandemic. Over 17,000 fresh coronavirus cases were reported yesterday. The virus took its toll on Bollywood as several celebrities like superstar Amitabh Bachchan, son Abhishek, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Ranbir Kapoor, got infected. In a bid to stem the spread, the Maharashtra government has issued fresh guidelines for theaters, offices, etc.
