
Mammootty's team calls cancer rumors fake, says he is well

The team of Malayalam cinema's megastar, Mammootty, has officially debunked rumors about the actor's alleged cancer diagnosis.
Speaking to Mid-Day, they clarified that the actor is on a break from his shooting schedule due to Ramzan fasting.
"It is fake news. He is on vacation because he is fasting for Ramzan. He is on a break from his shoot schedule as well because of that," the team said.

The actor's team further disclosed that Mammootty will resume shooting for Mahesh Narayanan's upcoming film with fellow actor Mohanlal after his break.
The film, tentatively titled MMMN, has long been awaited by fans. It also stars Fahadh Faasil and will be shot over 150 days across several Indian and foreign locales including Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Abu Dhabi, and London.

Meanwhile, he won his 15th Filmfare Award for the 2023 film Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. He also gained widespread acclaim for Kaathal: The Core.
