Malaika Arora car accident: Actor discharged from hospital after observation
Bollywood actor-model Malaika Arora suffered minor injuries after her car met with an accident on Saturday. The incident took place near Khopoli on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway when she was returning from Pune. She was rushed to a Mumbai hospital on Saturday and the latest reports suggest following medical assistance and overnight observation, Arora has been discharged on Sunday morning and is back at home.
Actor's CT scan turned out fine and 'she's currently okay'
According to reports, the television personality was taken to Apollo Hospital in Mumbai, where had undergone a CT scan on Saturday. A spokesperson for the hospital had told ANI, "Malaika has minor injuries on her forehead; CT scan has turned out fine and she is currently okay." Arora was kept under observation for the night and was discharged on Sunday morning.

Now that Arora is back home and recovering, let's take a look at what had actually happened on the Expressway. Police inspector Shirish Pawar from Khopoli Police Station said the incident took place "at the 38km point on Mumbai-Pune Expressway which is an accident-prone area." Speaking to News18, he revealed that "three vehicles rammed onto each other and all three vehicles have received damage."
Arora's car was jammed between two four-wheelers: Police
Arora's Range Rover had reportedly been crushed between two tourist cars in the accident. "We have received the registration numbers of all three cars and now we would contact the owners to understand what had actually happened," said Khopoli Police Station's assistant police inspector Haresh Kalsekar. "An FIR will be registered after investigating how the accident happened and who was at fault," he added.
She was likely returning to Mumbai from Pune fashion event
Before the accident, the 48-year-old actor was active on social media, sharing glimpses from Pune Times Fashion Week, a fashion event she was attending. It's likely that she met with the accident while returning from this event.
