Nearly two decades after the blockbuster Main Hoon Na hit theaters, director Farah Khan is said to be working on a sequel.

Production details
Farah is developing 'Main Hoon Na 2' under SRK's banner
Per a report by Pinkvilla, Khan is already working on the script of Main Hoon Na 2 under Red Chillies Entertainment—the production house owned by SRK and his wife Gauri Khan.
An insider said, "Farah has come up with an idea for the sequel, and Shah Rukh loves the direction she's planning to take."
The screenplay is being worked on by Khan's writing team and Red Chillies's in-house writers.
Actor's stance
SRK's involvement hinges on script quality: Report
The source added that Shah Rukh isn't keen on doing a sequel just for nostalgia's sake. "He understands how iconic Main Hoon Na is and has asked for a solid script that surpasses the impact of the original."
The actor will reportedly read the first draft by mid-2025 before taking a final call.
If the sequel happens, it will be Farah and SRK's fourth collaboration after Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om (2007), and Happy New Year (2014).
