Mahie Gill reveals she has 3-year-old daughter, talks about boyfriend
Mahie Gill, who is known for movies like Dev D, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster series, created a buzz in the town after she revealed that she has a three-year-old daughter named Veronica. The actress made this revelation during a recent interview and also stated that she hasn't gotten married yet. However, Mahie admitted being in a relationship and also opened up about her boyfriend.
"I am proud to be a mother, have not married"
"I am very proud that I am a mother of a daughter. Yes, I have not been married yet. When I want to marry, I will do it. In August this year, my child will be three years old," Mahie told Navbharat Times.
"Need someone who loves me, have found such a man"
Mahie, who is promoting her next, Family Of Thakurganj, also got candid about her love life and revealed that she is in a live-in relationship with a businessman. "I've a boyfriend. He is a businessman. I need someone who loves me, trusts me and gives me freedom. I have found such a man for myself," the 43-year-old confirmed.
We have no pressure, Mahie on marriage
When obvious questions about her marriage cropped up, Mahie emphasized that she is in no hurry to get married. "We have to get married...koi farak nahi padta koi [it makes no difference] We have no pressures to succumb to. I need freedom and my free space. We love and respect each other. Respect needs to prevail in any relationship," she pointed out.
'Why is marriage needed? Families can be made without it'
"What is the need for marriage? It all depends on their own thinking and time. Families and children can be made without marriage. There should be no problem with having children without marriage. I think everyone has their own principles to live life," Mahie emphasized.
Neena Gupta, Sarika also had children out of wedlock
Interestingly, Mahie isn't the first actress in Bollywood who made heads turn with the bold decision of having a child out of wedlock. Earlier veteran actresses like Neena Gupta and Sarika had set strong examples in this case. While Neena gave birth to her daughter Masaba Gupta with cricketer Viv Richards, Sarika had her love child (daughter Shruti Haasan) with veteran actor Kamal Haasan.
