When Mahesh Bhatt was amazed by Sridevi's professionalism
Sridevi's colleagues from the film fraternity continue to remember her by sharing stories of her valiance. The latest to honor the cinema legend with one such tale is Mahesh Bhatt who recounted the shooting days of his film 'Gumrah' that featured the late actress. Bhatt recalled how Sridevi completed a tough sequence, even though she was suffering from high fever.
The instance that left Bhatt in awe of Sridevi
Narrating the incident that made him 'salute Sridevi's spirit', Bhatt said that a water sequence was required to be shot with the actress but as she was suffering from fever, he told her to rest instead. However, she refused and went ahead to complete the shoot. "Sridevi shot inside water for hours with fever and didn't say a word. I miss her dearly."
A legend who left too soon
Sridevi bid her final goodbye at the age of 54. She was found dead in her Dubai hotel room bathtub on the night of February 24. She had gone there to attend the wedding ceremony of her relative Mohit Marwah along with her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor. The cinema icon was cremated on February 28 in Mumbai.
