Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri to star in Abundantia's comedy-drama: Report
Abundantia Entertainment has reportedly enlisted Bollywood actors Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri for its upcoming feature film. The project, led by Vikram Malhotra, is set to commence in March-April 2025 under the direction of Suresh Triveni. Triveni is recognized for his work on acclaimed films like Tumhari Sulu and Jalsa. The forthcoming film is already creating a stir due to its unique pairing of legendary 1990s actors with one of today's most sought-after heroines.
Dixit and Dimri's roles in the upcoming comedy-drama
Per Peeping Moon, the plot details of the forthcoming film are still under wraps, but it is known that it will be a comedy-drama revolving around three characters. Dixit and Dimri are set to portray a mother-daughter duo in this engaging blend of comedy and action. The film is expected to be filled with thrilling and dramatic moments, however, the male lead for this project is yet to be finalized.
Dixit and Dimri's ongoing projects and collaborations
This marks the second collaboration between Dixit and Dimri, who are also part of Kartik Aaryan's forthcoming horror-comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. In this film, directed by Anees Bazmee and set for a Diwali release, Dixit reportedly plays a cameo role as a ghost. The upcoming comedy-drama also continues the successful partnership between Malhotra and Triveni following their critically acclaimed thriller Jalsa in 2022.
Dimri's rising stardom and future projects
Dimri has emerged as a favorite among major producers—particularly after Animal. Her upcoming projects include Raaj Shaandilyaa's Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, releasing on October 11, followed by Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 on November 1 and Dhadak 2 on November 22. She is also set to star in Anurag Basu's romantic film with Aaryan and Vishal Bhardwaj's action drama with Shahid Kapoor. Rumors suggest that Dimri may be working on a biopic of Parveen Babi, but details remain undisclosed.
