Madhubala's sister backs Kareena to play legendary actor in biopic

Madhur Bhushan, the youngest sister of late Bollywood icon Madhubala, has shared her thoughts on the upcoming biopic of her sister.
In a recent interview with Mid-Day, she revealed that she thinks Kareena Kapoor Khan would be the perfect choice to play Madhubala in the film.
The project is being produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and directed by Jasmeet K Reen.

Bhushan reflected on Madhubala's legacy and courage
Reflecting on Madhubala's legacy, Bhushan emphasized her courage and dedication as an artist.
She said, "People talk about her beauty, but she was a woman of incredible warmth and courage, a dedicated artiste."
Bhushan also noted the late actor's resilience in fighting a congenital heart condition which led to her demise at age 36.
Despite being told by London doctors she had only one year left to live, Madhubala continued working for eight more years.
Biopic hopes
Bhushan's expectations from the biopic and director's vision
Bhushan said she hopes the biopic captures Madhubala's spirit.
She lauded Reen's storytelling, saying, "What I love about Jasmeet's process is that she is loyal to the story while giving it a contemporary gaze."
Bhushan also spoke about her favorite films of Madhubala, like Mughal-e-Azam (1960) and Tarana (1951), and hoped they would be included in the film.
Casting choices
Bhushan's casting preferences for the biopic
While the film is still not in the casting stage, Bhushan revealed her personal preferences for actors to play Madhubala.
She said, "When Kareena Kapoor Khan joined the industry, I was a huge fan of hers. I still am. I always thought she'll play her well."
However, she admitted that ultimately, "the decision is the director's and she'll choose whoever is most suited for the role."
