Teaser: 'Stree' makers unleash 'Munjya'—spooky new creature in Maddock universe
Maddock Films, known for their blockbuster hit Stree, unveiled a teaser for their forthcoming film Munjya on Tuesday. This film marks a significant milestone in Indian cinema as it introduces the nation's first CGI protagonist, a creature named Munjya. The character is not only capable of conversation and movement but also instills fear with every move, offering an innovative take on the monster genre.
Why does this story matter?
Maddock Films, under the leadership of producer Dinesh Vijan, is set to deliver an unparalleled cinematic experience filled with suspense and excitement with Munjya. It stands as a testament to Vijan's vision of integrating cutting-edge technology in filmmaking. The forthcoming film is reportedly set in the same universe as the production banner's earlier hit films—the 2018 blockbuster Stree, Roohi (2021), and 2022's Bhediya.
'Munnis, beware!'
The teaser of Munjya unfolds in an eerie forest setting, shrouded in darkness, where Munjya appears to dwell. His twisted, diminutive form and baby-like body send chills down the spine. However, what immediately grabs his attention is a television set playing Malaika Arora's Munni song, prompting him to attack the viewer and leaving us with the ominous warning: "Munnis, beware! Aa raha hai Munjya (Munjya is on the prowl)."
