    What's the story

Here comes a good news for all Bollywood and cricket enthusiasts. A sequel to the former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's biopic - 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story' - is on the cards.

The latest reports have it that producer Ronnie Screwvala is keen on bankrolling the second installment and that Sushant Singh Rajput will once again step into the shoes of Dhoni.

    Details

The sequel will trace Dhoni's life post 2011 World-Cup win

Tentatively titled 'Dhoni 2.0', the sequel will focus on Dhoni's accomplishments post the 2011 World-Cup win. It will also showcase the milestones from his personal life including the birth of his baby girl Ziva.

Sushant, who currently has several projects in his kitty, is all set to hit the cricket pitch once again.

    Quote

'Dhoni 2.0' is currently in the scripting stage

"There is Chennai's thrilling win against Bangalore at the IPL this year that can be depicted in the film. Also, India's steady run, up to the semi-finals, at the 2015 World-Cup will find a place in the narrative," said a media report.

    Superhit

The first part was a runaway success at box office

Helmed by 'A Wednesday' fame director Neeraj Pandey, 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story' was a success story at the box office.

Also featuring Anupam Kher, Disha Patani and Kiara Advani, the film did a phenomenal business of Rs. 133.04 crore.

And given Dhoni's unparalleled fan following, it is not hard to guess that the sequel too will set the cash registers ringing.

    Information

But, do we actually need a sequel?

The first installment had pretty much covered all the important aspects of Dhoni's illustrious life. And if the producers actually want to make a sequel and not some quick bucks, they should at least wait till the 2019 World Cup.
