Cannes: Avneet Kaur-Shantanu Maheshwari's 'Love in Vietnam' first look revealed
The first glimpse of the much-anticipated film Love in Vietnam was recently showcased at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. This movie marks the maiden cinematic collaboration between India and Vietnam, starring Indian actors Shantanu Maheshwari and Avneet Kaur, along with renowned Vietnamese actor Kha Ngan. The unveiling event was graced by the presence of the film's cast and crew including director Rahhat Shah Kazmi, producer Captain Rahul Bali, and co-producers Tariq Khan and Zeba Sajid.
'Love in Vietnam' based on bestseller, supported by consulates
Love in Vietnam is an adaptation of the bestseller Madonna in a Fur Coat. The film is produced by Omung Kumar, marking his production debut, along with Kazmi, Bali, and Abhishek Ankur. Co-producers include Khan and Sajid, among others. The film has garnered support from the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Mumbai, and Vietnam Airlines.
Actors shared excitement for 'Love in Vietnam' on Instagram
Kaur and Maheshwari took to Instagram to express their enthusiasm about the film's first look. Kaur wrote, "Proud to launch the first look of #LoveInVietnam'at Cannes! This is the first India-Vietnam collaboration and I couldn't be happier sharing this with you all." Maheshwari also shared, "Thrilled to unveil the first look of our film #LoveInVietnam at Cannes! I'm excited to finally be able to share this, our groundbreaking India-Vietnam collaboration (sic)."
Cannes Film Festival celebrated Indian culture and cinema
The Cannes Film Market also hosted Bharat Parva, an event dedicated to celebrating Indian culture and cinema. Organized by NFDC in association with FICCI under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting's aegis, it saw over 250 delegates immerse themselves in Indian culture. The event marked the unveiling of posters for the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES), too.
