'Love Hostel' trailer: Deadly assassin tails star-crossed lovers
Ahead of its official premiere on ZEE5, makers of Love Hostel shared the trailer for the upcoming film on Valentine's Day. We get a look into the lives of Jyoti (Sanya Malhotra) and Ashu (Vikrant Massey) as they elope and are hunted by the deadly mercenary Dagar (Bobby Deol). There is love, thrill, crime, and lots of blood. Here's a trailer breakdown.
Know more about the titular character
Going right into the action, the 2:29-minute-long clip begins with Jyoti and Ashu eloping to get married. We understand Jyoti belongs to a powerful family and that her marriage was fixed elsewhere. Quite aware of the danger that looms over them, the newlywed couple takes shelter in a court-mandated safe home. This ghastly place, housing pairs risking familial threats, is the titular "love hostel."
Dagar's entry changes tone and color of trailer
Although the hostel is in the most deplorable condition, Jyoti and Ashu seem to be making most of the situation until trouble arrives. And, this trouble is Dagar, a menacing killer—most likely hired by Jyoti's grandmother. It is from Dagar's entry that the scenery changes as we are given a glimpse into his ruthless manner of operation. Will he manage to catch the lovers?

'Love Hostel' coming to ZEE5 this month
Shanker Raman of Gurgaon-fame has both written and directed this film. Going by the trailer, we can expect some Anurag Kashyap-style brutality mixed with a tale of honor killing. All the lead actors, especially Deol, look perfectly fitting for their roles. Produced by Manish Mundra's Drishyam Films and Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, Love Hostel arrives on February 25.
On same day, 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' is hitting theaters
Announced in early 2021, the filming for Love Hostel had wrapped up around July last year. This will mark the first collaboration of Malhotra and Massey. Both of them have also not worked with Deol before this. On the same day as its premiere, the much-awaited Sanjay Leela Bhansali venture, Gangubai Kathiawadi, is hitting the theaters. So, which one are you going to watch?
