Lollapalooza India 2025: Green Day, Shawn Mendes, Hanumankind to perform
The organizers of the two-day music festival, Lollapalooza India, have announced the line-up for its 2025 edition. The event will be held on March 8 and 9 in Mumbai and will feature performances by international artists such as Green Day and Shawn Mendes, as well as emerging talent like Indian rapper Hanumankind. The festival will encompass a variety of genres including pop, rock, hip-hop, EDM, and techno.
Green Day's 1st performance in India
American rock band Green Day, consisting of lead vocalist/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist/backing vocalist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tre Cool, will be performing in India for the first time in their over three-decade-long career. The band announced their participation in Lollapalooza India 2025 on Instagram, writing, "Another first for us!! India, you've been calling our name... and it's finally time to answer."
Mendes and Hanumankind join the line-up
Canadian pop star Mendes will also be gracing the stage at Lollapalooza India 2025. The 26-year-old shared his excitement about the event on his Instagram Stories. Indian rapper Hanumankind, who recently gained international recognition with his hit English track Big Dawgs, is another notable addition to the line-up. The song has amassed over 57M views on YouTube and is known for its politically charged lyrics and innovative music video.
Hanumankind's upcoming performances and acting debut
Before his performance at Lollapalooza, Hanumankind is scheduled to perform in Bengaluru and Mumbai on September 13 and 15, respectively. He will also be making his acting debut in the Malayalam gangster film Rifle Club, directed by Aashiq Abu, where he plays Anurag Kashyap's son. Meanwhile, the festival's line-up includes performances by artists like Louis Tomlinson, Raftaar, Dot., and Lisa Mishra. Mishra recently made her acting debut with the web series Call Me Bae on Prime Video.
