Lizzo buys Jeremy Renner's Hollywood Hills mansion for $12.4M
Grammy-winning singer Lizzo has reportedly bought actor Jeremy Renner's plush Hollywood Hills home for a mind-boggling $12.4 million, according to TMZ. The Hawkeye star had originally purchased the property in 2012 for $4 million and then pumped in another $5.5 million in renovations. The house, which was put on sale for $13 million in August this year, was sold to the Truth Hurts singer at the end of October.
Renner's decision to sell was influenced by 2023 accident
Renner hadn't planned on selling the property at first, imagining it as his "forever home." But after a snowplow accident in 2023, he re-evaluated and decided to downsize. Speaking to WSJ Magazine, he said, "I did all that stuff because I was going to stay there. It was kind of a forever home." After the near-fatal incident, he wanted to "move on to other things."
Renner bid farewell to his home on social media
Renner took to Instagram last month to share a heartfelt farewell message to his home. Along with the message, he posted a baby photo of his daughter, Ava, now 11. "When dad sells your childhood home...paving new paths and making new memories together is always scary, but when the deeply profound love we share is our foundation, we can forge through any place with grace," he wrote.
Lizzo's new home: A peek into the luxurious amenities
The Hollywood Hills mansion, which covers some 9,000 square feet, has six bedrooms and nine bathrooms. It also has a recording studio, which makes it the perfect pick for the musician. Other amenities include a screening room, a swimming pool with a waterfall, and an indoor-outdoor living area. The living room is uniquely designed with wood paneling on the ceiling, sliding glass doors, and multiple chandeliers.
The mansion also boasts multiple dining areas
Renner's former home also features several dining areas and a state-of-the-art kitchen with an island and bar. The kitchen complements the home's mid-century design with dark cabinetry, stone countertops, and a gas stove. One bedroom boasts a wraparound balcony and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open to greenery, making it a peaceful resting space for the new owner.
