Chicago-based singer Lisa Mishra will be performing at Lollapalooza India. The event, produced and marketed by BookMyShow Live, is a career milestone for her as she will be performing on the same day as Green Day.
Ahead of her performance, Mishra has been on a fitness journey inspired by Dua Lipa's physique. She told Mid-Day about this transformation: "I looked at [Dua Lipa] on stage and said...let me challenge myself to work out twice a day for 90 days."

Mishra, meanwhile, said performing at Lollapalooza India is a "full circle moment."
She said, "Lollapalooza is my hometown festival. I grew up in Chicago and I have been to these concerts as a teenager. To be playing at the Mumbai edition is so special."
She added that her setlist will mostly consist of her own music, with just one cover song.

Mishra also shared her observations on how Indian music festivals are different from those abroad.
She said while international festivals have multiple stages with artists performing simultaneously, Indian ones have a single stage with artists performing one after the other.
To keep audiences engaged, she believes in the importance of visual stimulation along with music.
"Not just the music, the performance, and the visuals also have to be good... It should look rehearsed and ready and confident."

Mishra also reminisced about opening for Ed Sheeran at his Delhi concert. She said it was nerve-wracking and empowering at the same time.
"When you open for someone who has been your idol for many years, it can be nerve-racking and anxiety-ridden, but also really powerful."
About her outfit at Lollapalooza India, she teased it will be an homage to Chicago where it all began.
