Singer Allen opens up about having sex with female prostitutes
In what makes for a brave revelation, pop singer Lily Allen spoke about having sex with female prostitutes during the 'Sheezus' tour of 2014. Back then, Allen was married to Sam Cooper (they split in 2016). She confessed to cheating on her husband as she was feeling 'lost and lonely'. Allen went into postnatal depression after the birth of her second daughter Maine.
A void she could not fill
33-year-old Allen opened up about her broken marriage in her book 'My Thoughts Exactly'. The book is scheduled to release on September 20. Speaking of her dalliances, she said that she was not proud of them, but she was not ashamed either. She justified her actions by saying that she was lost, lonely and was looking for something to help her fill the void.
She said the press would make mountains out of molehills
Allen said she wanted to give her fans a heads-up about the book's content. She had been informed that someone leaked part of her story to 'The Mail' and that they would run it. Knowing how the press makes things sound worse, Allen wanted to tell her story. She also expressed sorrow over cheating on her husband and being an absentee mother.
