    What's the story

LE SSERAFIM's member, Sakura, was unable to participate in the K-pop girl group's recent activities due to deteriorating health conditions.

The official announcement on the group's Japanese website on Saturday stated, "Due to a worsening of her physical health, Sakura will not be participating in today's scheduled EASY serial number online special event," reported Soompi.

This news follows the group's recent performance at the global music festival Coachella.

    Event changes

Sakura's health issues led to her absence from fan sign

Moreover, Sakura's health issues also led to her absence from a fan sign event, which was scheduled for Saturday (April 27 KST).

LE SSERAFIM's agency, Source Music, announced that the bonus fan sign would proceed with only four members: Chaewon, Kazuha, Huh Yujin, and Eunchae.

Fans selected for signing and photo opportunities exclusively with Sakura will have to wait for rescheduled dates.

    Fan communication

Sakura's letter to fans addressed criticisms surrounding Coachella performance

Meanwhile, recently Sakura addressed the criticisms surrounding the group's performance at Coachella in a letter to fans posted on Weverse.

Agreeing that their performance may not have been up to par, Sakura defended the group and stated, "No one is perfect, but the performance we held as a group was undoubtedly our best stage [performance] yet."

Following LE SSERAFIM's Coachella performance, the online community voiced concerns over their vocal delivery not meeting the expectations for such a grand stage.

    New song

K-pop group debuted a new song on the Coachella stage

For those unaware, the girl group sang their new song, Hot and Fun, for the first time on the Coachella stage.

The song features an infectious chorus and an engaging half-tempo dance break.

With this performance, LE SSERAFIM joined the ranks of BLACKPINK, who headlined in 2023 and also performed in 2019.

Other K-pop acts that contributed this year included ATEEZ and rock band The Rose.
