Director Kiran Rao's 2024 film Laapataa Ladies is all set to make its debut in Japan. 'Laapataa Ladies' to hit Japanese theaters in October
Rao announced that Laapataa Ladies will be released in Japan on October 4. The film is being distributed by Shochiku, a prominent Japanese entertainment company. In her Instagram post, Rao expressed her excitement about the upcoming release, thanking Shochiku and the Japanese audience with the phrase "arigato gozaimasu," which translates to "thank you very much" in English.
'Laapataa Ladies': A satirical take on patriarchy
Laapataa Ladies tells the story of two newlywed brides, portrayed by Nitanshi Goel and Pratibha Ranta, who are accidentally swapped on a train.
