Kriti Sanon seeks 'out-of-the-box' project for web series debut
What's the story
National Award-winning actor Kriti Sanon recently said that she is open to making her web series debut but the project has to be "out of the box."
She feels that the venture should be creatively challenging and unique.
Sanon made these comments while attending the inaugural IIFA Digital Awards in Jaipur, where she won the Best Performance in a Leading Role award for her performance in Netflix's Do Patti.
Ambitions
'It has to be out of the box...'
Sanon told PTI, "I think there should be something that excites me as an actor, and it has to be out of the box, something very different, and something that excites me so much."
"Because it's longer than a film, so it has to excite me for that much length."
She also revealed that she is still searching for her next production venture after her debut as a producer with Do Patti through her banner Blue Butterfly Films.
Box office
Sanon highlighted success of 'good content' in Hindi cinema
Sanon also spoke about the lackluster run of Hindi films at the domestic box office in recent times.
However, she noted that films like Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava and last year's horror comedy Stree 2" have done well, showing that "good content" is still flourishing.
"There are films that are doing amazingly well... The numbers that 'Chhaava' and 'Stree 2' have done at the box office are commendable. I think we should celebrate the positive," she said.
