Kriti Sanon not a part of Varun-Diljit-Arjun's 'No Entry 2'
The much-anticipated sequel to the 2005 comedy hit No Entry, titled No Entry 2, has confirmed its male leads: Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Arjun Kapoor. However, rumors continue to swirl around the female cast, with recent reports circulating wild that Kriti Sanon was approached for a pivotal role. Putting all speculation to rest, an industry source has debunked these rumors, confirming that she is not involved in this project.
Sanon 'not a part of 'No Entry 2': Insider revealed
An industry insider told TOI, "Contrary to recent speculations, Sanon is not a part of No Entry 2." "Following her success with Crew, Sanon remains focused on exploring diverse and meatier roles. As of now, she has not signed any new projects." Currently, the actor is enjoying a successful run with box office hits like Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Crew, both surpassing the ₹100cr mark in worldwide collections.
'No Entry 2' casting discussions underway
Apart from Sanon, Manushi Chhillar and Shraddha Kapoor were also reported to be a part of the upcoming sequel. However, the female leads are yet to be finalized by the makers. Meanwhile, to recall, the 2005 comedy classic starred Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan, with additional support by Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu, and Celina Jaitly, among others.
'No Entry 2' filming and release details revealed
Meanwhile, the filming for No Entry 2 is scheduled to begin later this year, with a planned release in 2025, reportedly. The original film was a major hit, grossing ₹95cr on a modest budget of just ₹20cr, per News18. The sequel is said to continue the storyline of a man attempting to hide his extramarital affair from his suspicious wife with help from his friends.
Previously, Anil expressed interest in 'No Entry 2'
Earlier, producer Boney Kapoor revealed that his brother, Anil Kapoor, expressed interest in joining the sequel but there was "no space." In an interview with Zoom, Kapoor mentioned, "Before I could inform my brother Anil about the No Entry sequel and its cast, he became upset as the news had already been leaked." "It was unfortunate that it was leaked. I wanted to explain why I made the decisions I did."
