Kriti Sanon confirms 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' sequel
Kriti Sanon, in a recent interview with Filmfare, confirmed that a sequel to the 2024 romantic comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (TBMAUJ) is currently in the works. She also expressed her eagerness to collaborate once again with co-star Shahid Kapoor. TBMAUJ, which was released in February, was well-received by audiences for its unique storyline and the lead pair's on-screen chemistry. It's streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Sanon, Kapoor 'eager' for sequel
Sanon revealed that the script for the TBMAUJ sequel is currently being written. "The sequel for Teri Baaton Mein... is currently being written. We're both eager for it to happen soon," she said. "Working with Shahid has been a joy for me. I believe we also have great chemistry together. Sometimes with certain actors, the chemistry just naturally clicks, you don't have to force it. Shahid is one of those actors for me."
'TBMAUJ': A unique love story
TBMAUJ narrates the unique love story of a robotics engineer named Aryan (played by Kapoor) who falls in love with a robot named SIFRA (portrayed by Sanon). The film follows Aryan as he introduces SIFRA to his family, leading to a series of chaotic and hilarious situations. The ensemble cast includes Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, Rakesh Bedi, Anubha Fatehpuria, Rajesh Kumar, Grusha Kapoor, and Ashish Verma, among others.

TBMAUJ was directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar. It hit the theaters on February 9, 2024. The film also featured a cameo appearance by Janhvi Kapoor and ended on a cliffhanger, thus opening the pathway for a second part. As for Sanon's next projects, she is currently gearing up for Do Patti with Kajol. On the other hand, Kapoor will next be seen in the crime-thriller Deva.
