
Radhika Apte to direct action-fantasy film 'Kotya'
What's the story
Radhika Apte, known for films like Badlapur, Parched, and Lust Stories, will make her feature film directorial debut with an action fantasy titled Kotya.
The announcement was made as part of the CineV-CHD Market lineup.
The Hindi-Marathi film will follow a young migrant sugarcane cutter who develops superpowers after a forced medical procedure and uses them to liberate her family from debt.

Apte's previous directorial experience and upcoming projects
Apte is no stranger to the director's chair.
She had previously helmed a short film titled The Sleepwalkers in 2020.
The film, starring Gulshan Devaiah and Shahana Goswami, was a contender at the Palm Springs International ShortFest 2020 under the Best Midnight Short category.
Apart from her directorial venture, Apte will also be seen alongside Keerthy Suresh in Netflix's series Akka, produced by YRF Entertainment.
