'Game of Thrones': Kit Harington won't accept cameo in prequel
Game of Thrones is the most popular show on HBO and will be returning for its eighth and final season in April 2019, as we had reported. The show has been going on since 2011 and has had Kit Harington playing Jon Snow over the seasons. Though Kit was teary when the show wrapped up, he does not want to return for the prequels.
Keep on keeping on, like a bird that flew
Kit expressed his obvious sadness at saying goodbye to a character that had been a large part of his life for almost a decade. However, despite the chapter being hard to end, Kit did not mind moving on from the show and has vowed to never return again. Notably, he did admit in a report that it was emotional to leave the job.
Been this way ten years to the day, ramble on
Kit said, "But I wouldn't say I was sad... go all the way back to the pilot of Game of Thrones that's almost 10 years of your life - that's really unusual in an actor's career. It was a huge emotional upheaval leaving that family".
The prequel is already in the works
As we had reported, a spin-off prequel is already in the works and Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse have already been cast for the show. The show, which will explore The Long Night, is to be set thousands of years before the current events of Westeros unfolded. However, Kit made it clear he does not want to reprise Jon's role, 'Not on your life'.
It is not the leaving, that's grieving him
Kit, who is currently acting in a play by Sam Shepard titled True West, was asked whether he would consider doing a small cameo or film for an appearance in the prequel. To our disappointment, his answer was, unequivocally no. However, fans need not be saddened, as we will see Kit returning as Jon as he tries to fight White Walkers and unite Westeros.
