Kim Kardashian meets President Trump to discuss prison reforms
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian West on Wednesday met with US President Donald Trump in the White House to talk about the prison reforms. She reportedly discussed with him a potential pardon for Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year-old great-grandmother who is serving a life sentence for a first-time non-violent drug offense. Johnson has been in the prison for more than two decades.
Kardarshian is hopeful of a positive outcome
Post her meeting with Trump, she wrote on Twitter, "I would like to thank President Trump for his time. It is our hope that the President will grant clemency to Ms. Alice Marie Johnson." "We are optimistic about Ms. Johnson's future and hopeful that she - and so many like her-will get a second chance at life," she added.

How did Kardashian get involved in the case?
Kardashian had come across Johnson's story on social media last year and was moved by it heavily. She then joined forces with Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, to push for federal prison reforms.
