Kim Kardashian's sister Khloe Kardashian, who is also pregnant, expressed her happiness on social media after the announcement was made. Mother Kris Jenner sent a Hansen's cake to the new mother of three, Kim. Kim Kardashian also wrote on her app, "North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister."
Why surrogacy?
Kim Kardashian, already the mother of 4-year-old North and 2-year-old Saint, resorted to surrogacy as the birth of her second child rose to a life-threatening condition. She had placenta accreta which prevented her from biologically conceiving a child. Kardashian had already written about the complications she faced during her first two pregnancies and the doctors strictly advised her against a third one.
