Kiefer Sutherland, Rebel Wilson to lead Christmas comedy 'Tinsel Town'
What's the story
Hollywood A-listers Kiefer Sutherland (24) and Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect) will headline the cast of the upcoming Christmas comedy, Tinsel Town.
The film is a joint project of Sky and Future Artists Entertainment.
Currently being filmed across northern England and at Leeds's Versa Studios, the movie will be released during Christmas 2025 on Sky Cinema.
Storyline
'Tinsel Town' plot and character details unveiled
In Tinsel Town, Sutherland will play Bradley Mack, a Hollywood action star struggling with the abrupt cancelation of his successful franchise.
As he tries to reinvent himself as a serious actor in England's West End, his agent diverts him to a quaint village for an unconventional rendition of Cinderella.
Wilson will play Jill, a straightforward choreographer who helps Bradley navigate this new chapter in his life.

'Tinsel Town' script and production team revealed
The screenplay of Tinsel Town has been penned by Frazer Flintham, Adam Brown, and Piers Ashworth, with additional writing by Jake Brunger.
Chris Foggin will direct the film, while Matt Williams and Pascal Degove from FAE will produce it.
Julia Stuart, Laura Grange, Piers Tempest, and Martin Owen are the executive producers.

Sutherland and Wilson expressed excitement for 'Tinsel Town'
Sutherland expressed his excitement about returning to the UK to work with director Foggin. "The cast is fantastic, and I can't wait to tell this story," he said.
Wilson also expressed her excitement to be part of a British Christmas movie. She jokingly said, "I love British Christmas movies — because in Australia we're just on the beach having a BBQ — and so now I feel like I get to have a classic British Christmas — freezing my t_s off but laughing and sledding all the way!"

'Tinsel Town' to be marketed globally at European Film Market
Tinsel Town, commissioned and developed by Sky in partnership with Future Artists Entertainment, will be presented to global buyers at the upcoming European Film Market by Mister Smith Entertainment.
Julia Stuart, Director of Original Film at Sky, said they were proud of the comedy, calling it "uplifting and charming."
Matt Williams from FAE said he was excited to bring this "hilarious and heartwarming Christmas Comedy" to audiences.
