Sudeep's 'Vikrant Rona' to release in 3D on August 19
Kannada star Sudeep's Vikrant Rona is all set to hit the big screens on August 19, announced the actor earlier today. The upcoming adventure drama will be released in 3D in several languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi. Earlier in February, Vikrant Rona had become the world's first film to have its title poster and sneak-peek being unveiled on Dubai's Burj Khalifa.

Unveiling a new motion poster today, the Makkhi actor took to his Twitter to say, "After enjoying the process of preparations and it's making,,, its now time for a new excitement." "We the team of #VikrantRona is all excited and happy to mark August 19th 2021 for its theatrical release," added the 47-year-old. In the poster, Sudeep gives off some serious Indiana Jones vibes!
The Kannada superstar plays a hunter in the film
Donning a black leather jacket over black trousers, Sudeep's character has a whip and a torch held in his hands. Wearing a deerstalker hat, Sudeep's eyes are sharp and set on his goal. The surroundings suggest that he is in some far-off land, which has remained unexplored by human beings. According to reports, he plays a hunter in the movie, so the look suits.

The ambitious project is being helmed by Anup Bhandari
The multi-crore project has been written and directed by Anup Bhandari, who debuted with 2015's mystery thriller RangiTaranga. Bhandari's younger brother Nirup is also part of the cast. Moreover, Neetha Ashok plays an important role. The movie was under production last year when things had to be put on hold due to COVID-19. Thereafter, the team completed the shoot at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad.
In February, the movie logo was unveiled on Burj Khalifa
The Dabangg 3 actor had completed 25 years in the field of cinema earlier this year. On that occasion, a sneak-peek of Vikrant Rona and its logo were launched in a grand way- with a projection on the tallest tower in the world, Burj Khalifa. It's also considered to be the first Kannada movie to have resumed shoot after the pandemic.
