'Khel Khel Mein': Details on runtime, screen count, advanced booking
Akshay Kumar's upcoming film, Khel Khel Mein, is all set to hit the screens on Independence Day on Thursday. The film, directed by Mudassar Aziz, features a star-studded cast including Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal. 'Khel Khel Mein' to be screened across 1,500-2,000 screens
Khel Khel Mein is set to be released nationwide by Panorama Studios and is expected to be screened across 1,500 to 2,000 screens in India. A significant portion of the screenings are targeted toward multiplexes as the film is particularly appealing to urban audiences. However, competition from Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's horror-comedy Stree 2 and John Abraham'sVedaa has impacted the showcasing scenario.
Advanced bookings for 'Khel Khel Mein' exceed industry expectations
Speaking about the advanced bookings, it opened on Sunday with limited shows, with more shows becoming available by Monday. As of Tuesday at 5:00pm, approximately 8,000 tickets have been sold for the opening day in the top three national chains—PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. With a day and a half left before release, it is estimated that ticket sales could reach between 25,000 to 30,000 in these national chains.
'Khel Khel Mein' expected to open with ₹6-7 crore
The release day being a national holiday could result in better-than-usual walk-ins. However, a fractured release due to competition from Stree 2 could impact this. Taking all factors into account, KKM is expected to open in the range of ₹6-7cr on Thursday and maintain similar numbers over the extended five-day weekend. With a day and a half left before release, anticipation for the film is building.
