'Stree 2' storm destroys 'Khel Khel Mein' box office dreams
Akshay Kumar's latest film, Khel Khel Mein, is struggling to make its mark at the box office. The movie was released alongside the highly-anticipated horror comedy Stree 2 and John Abraham's Vedaa. Despite receiving decent reviews, it has failed to attract a significant audience. On its eighth day in theaters, the film earned just ₹0.95 crore, bringing its total earnings to ₹19.3 crore so far.
'Stree 2' is inching toward ₹300cr domestically
The box office performance of Khel Khel Mein is being overshadowed by the success of Stree 2. The horror comedy, featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has broken multiple records with its impressive box office run. It's now set to enter the coveted ₹300 crore club domestically. Meanwhile, Abraham's Vedaa is also facing challenges similar to Kumar's film, having earned only ₹17.53 crore so far.
'Khel Khel Mein' is a star-studded Indian remake
Khel Khel Mein, directed by Mudassar Aziz, is an Indian adaptation of the Italian film Perfetti Sconosciuti (Perfect Strangers). The movie features a star-studded cast including Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, and Pragya Jaiswal in lead roles. Despite its high-profile cast and positive reviews, the film has not managed to draw large crowds to theaters.
