'Khel Khel Mein' shows growth, but fails to reach ₹10cr
Akshay Kumar's latest comedy-drama, Khel Khel Mein, has shown a slight increase in its box office collection on the third day of release. Despite positive reviews, the film has been struggling to make a significant impact at the box office, primarily due to competition from other releases like Stree 2 and Vedaa. However, Saturday's collection indicates a potential upward trend for the movie.
'Khel Khel Mein' earned ₹2.85 crore on Saturday
According to Sacnilk, Khel Khel Mein raked in ₹2.85 crore on Saturday, marking a 39% growth compared to Friday's earnings of ₹2.05 crore. The film had a strong opening day with collections of ₹5.05 crore, but witnessed a sharp drop on the second day (Friday) by 59.41%. The total collection after three days stands at ₹9.95 crore.
'Khel Khel Mein' faces stiff competition from 'Stree 2,' 'Vedaa'
Khel Khel Mein's performance at the box office will be influenced by its competitors, Stree 2 and Vedaa. The former has already surpassed the lifetime collections of its prequel in just three days, while Vedaa is also outpacing Khel Khel Mein, albeit with a smaller margin. It remains to be seen whether the comedy-drama can cross the ₹15 crore mark over the extended weekend.
'Khel Khel Mein' is a remake of Italian film
Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Khel Khel Mein is a remake of the 2016 Italian film Perfect Strangers. The star-studded cast includes Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Fardeen Khan, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal. Despite its current box office performance, Kumar has an exciting lineup of upcoming films such as Jolly LLB 3, Welcome to The Jungle, and Sky Force.
