Akshay's 'Khel Khel Mein' struggles; still hasn't touched ₹30cr
Akshay Kumar's latest film, Khel Khel Mein, has been facing a tepid response at the box office since its release on August 15. Despite receiving mostly positive reviews, the movie's performance has been impacted due to its clash with other releases like Stree 2 and Vedaa. The film, directed by Mudassar Aziz, features an ensemble cast including Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal.
'Khel Khel Mein' box office collection
KKM raked in ₹19.35 crore in its first week. Its second-week earnings saw a decline, with ₹70 lakh on Friday, ₹1.35 crore on Saturday, and ₹1.75 crore on Sunday. The movie continued to underperform during the weekdays, earning ₹85 lakh and ₹80 lakh on Monday and Tuesday respectively. The collections further dipped to ₹65 lakh on Wednesday, ₹56 lakh on Thursday, and ₹60 lakh on Friday. On Saturday, it made ₹1.1 crore, taking the total collection to approximately ₹27.9 crore.
Kumar's upcoming projects
Despite the underwhelming performance of Khel Khel Mein, Kumar has several exciting projects lined up. These include Sky Force, Jolly LLB 3, Singham Again, Welcome to the Jungle, and The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair. His immediate next release is Sky Force, scheduled for October 2, but, per reports, it may get rescheduled to early next year.
