What's the story
KGF: Chapter 2 promotions have officially begun!
The sequel to KGF: Chapter 1, one of the most successful films of 2018, got its first single on Monday.
Titled Toofan, the song's lyrical video featuring Yash aka Rocky was also dropped along with the number.
This comes over two months after the film's teaser trailer was shared.
KGF: Chapter 2 will release on April 14.
Information
Song released in different languages
Since the film would release in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi, Toofan also was released in these languages.
While Ravi Basrur composed music for all languages, the singers and lyricists of these versions are different.
The Kannada Toofan was written by Basrur, the Hindi one had Shabbir Ahmed as the lyricist, and Madhurakavi had penned the words for the Tamil Toofan.
Details
'Toofan' was hero introduction song
Lasting 3:38 minutes, the song established the film's main character pretty well.
We saw a fierce Rocky, armed with a hammer and a "don't create trouble for me" kind of a look. He was described with words like "toofan" and "talwaar."
Percussion instruments created the apt ambiance required for a hero introduction song like this.
Chorus and child singers rounded the number's appeal.
