Kevin Spacey faces new sexual assault lawsuit in London
What's the story
Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey is facing a new sexual assault lawsuit, this time from actor Ruari Cannon.
The case was lodged in London High Court on Wednesday, marking yet another legal battle for Spacey who had previously managed to clear his name from similar charges 18 months ago.
The allegations date back to an encounter between Spacey and Cannon at London's Old Vic Theatre where Spacey served as art director from 2003-2015.
Past accusations
Spacey's history of sexual assault allegations
Notably, this isn't the first time Spacey has been accused of sexual misconduct.
In 2023, four men in their 20s and 30s accused him of making inappropriate and offensive remarks.
Spacey dismissed the claims as "absolute madness" and a "stab in the back," implying they were financially motivated.
The prosecutor in that case called him a "sexual bully" who used his fame for indecent purposes.

Spacey's response to previous allegations and verdict
After dismissing the previous charges, Spacey thanked the jury for carefully examining.
He said, "I would like to say that I'm grateful to the jury for having taken the time to examine all of the evidence and facts before they reached their decision."
In a TV interview, he accepted responsibility for past behavior but didn't apologize for what he thought were exaggerated stories about him.
Despite legal battles and allegations, Spacey received a Lifetime Achievement Award in Italy last year.
